It automates a series of useful operations. It measures the rug/carpet. It uses a bar code reader and a touch screen for easy carpet management. It communicates with a PC updating the database of the management software. It also uses a modem to connect to the manufacturer for fast technical support and problem solving.

The washing procedure is divided into three stages:

Phase A – Rug/Carpet data is recorded and displayed on the touch screen. The photocells measure the dimensions of the carpet, while the barcode reader scans its code.

Phase B – The rug/carpet is brushed successively by three cylindrical brushes, which attain deep cleaning from dust, dirt and stains.

Phase C – Both sides of the rug/carpet are rinsed with water, which is sprayed with pressure. One more cylindrical brush runs along the pile and remove the fluff for uniform finish.

The rug/carpet, being perfectly cleaned but still wet, is twirled to form a roll, in order to enter the next machine, for rinsing.
